You are invited to join in the endeavors of ministry here at Nestor United Methodist Church
The Ministry of Being is the ministry of listening to God in your life; such as prayer, contemplation, Divine Reading of Scripture (Lectio Divina), personal and public worship, Labyrinth walking/praying, journaling and more.
The Ministry of Doing is the activities that spring from Being with God. Our spiritual journey is a combination of being and doing. Doing requires getting your hands busy in the community such as; Trustees, Staff Parish Relations, Endowment, Finance & Stewardship, Membership Care, Congregational Leadership, Christian Education, Worship Planning, and Administration.
What areas are you interested in? Where is your treasure? For there you will find your heart, and as a Christian you are taught to lead your heart toward God and God’s will for your life.
Pastor Inez Scott is offering to lead a group in the ways of Spiritual Growth the Ministry of Being does this intrigue you? Please contact us, by phone, email, snail mail or in person.
Our Leadership Development Team will soon be meeting to invite you to take part in our Ministry of Doing. You could help us if you have an area of interest that you would like to explore and at the same time help your church family be more effective and active with.
